ROOM HIRE

Emmanuel Church buildings and rooms are regularly used for training seminars, adult learning, youth & children’s groups, children’s birthday parties and local residents meetings, but we still have availability for other bookings on a regular weekly or monthly basis, or as a one-off hire.

All our meeting rooms are carpeted. 


Toilet facilities, including disabled and baby change are provided within the building.
There is approximate parking for approximately 30 vehicles, dependent upon size.
       We also hold a licence for recorded music  to be played within our premises.

Charges:
All rooms £20 per hour or £150 per day.

General Information

A note on appropriate usage


Emmanuel is a Christian church building and situated in a quiet residential area, and we request all users to be sensitive to this.  The consumption, sale and purchase of alcohol is not permitted.

LOWER HALL

Our most popular room, this is a general purpose hall with easy access to a fully equipped kitchen where tea, coffee and meals can be prepared.

Adult sized sturdy tables and 50 plastic chairs are available (toddler sized tables & chairs are available by prior arrangement).

​

The room does not have a PA system but a DVD player and television screen (no aerial) can be provided upon request. 

ORCHARD ROOM

This is a light, attractive room that has good natural light during the day as one side has three sky-lights and windows overlooking the orchard gardens.

There are 2 large whiteboards across one wall making this room very suitable for training seminars and planning meetings.  The room has four new strong rectangular meeting tables and 26 padded chairs. 
The tables can be folded away for a theatre style meeting format.

UPPER SCHOOL ROOM

A colourful room, decorated by our Sunday morning children’s group, the room has two strong hexagonal meeting tables, ten comfortable padded chairs and numerous floor cushions.

A DVD player and television screen (no aerial), plus CD/cassette/radio are in this room. 

​

(14 stairs to first floor).

WORSHIP AREA

This is a flexible space with a low level (15cm/6in) stage platform, PA with inductive loop, piano and seating for approximately 110 people. Hire of the worship area includes use of a side room (front vestry/library) suitable for small group work or counselling.
Seating is on stackable, padded chairs that can be rearranged as required.  This room was designed for Christian worship but may be hired if the intended usage is appropriate.  The Data Projector,  PA system and church organ are available only by prior arrangement.

KITCHEN

The kitchen was completely refurbished approximately four years ago. Whilst the  kitchen is available for hire, it excludes the use of the cooker & dishwasher and is subject to a separate conditions of use; the details of which can be found on the link below.
